First Mother's Day

I find that some Bible verses hold a mystery. It seems like they keep coming into my reading, and some take time for me to understand them. Today's Scripture is one such verse.

Fuel Guage Or Destination?

I am sure that I am not the first to be driving along, only to glance down and see the fuel gauge on empty and the red low fuel indicator illuminated. On this particular day, by the time I noticed, I was a very long way from the next town. I am usually very careful not to let the needle go below half full, but a few extra trips for school and training ate up the gas quite quickly this week. I must admit that I was concerned at times about running out of gas, yet I also knew in my heart that it would be okay.

1 Peter 3:15 – But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (NIV)
