When Mountains Won’t Move
Jacob Hawk serves as the Pulpit Minister for Riverside Church of Christ in Kerrville, Texas. He holds both bachelor and master’s degrees in Bible from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. He speaks at seminars and lectureships around the United States and television programs in the Texas Hill Country. In addition to his writing, Jacob has a burning passion to preach the gospel that he first discovered at the age of nine years old when he delivered his first sermon. Jacob and his wife, Natalie, have two sons, Hayden and Hudson.
I found this to be a great little book. It was fast and easy read and has several nuggets of truth that could truly be life changing people who are willing to dig deeper with the Lord.
I believe that a Christian, who is struggling with his or her faith, could greatly benefit from the thoughts Hawk lays out in this book. Therefore it would make a great small group or home Bible study tool, for the seasoned groups. I wouldn’t necessarily use this with a new group of people getting to know one another.
The man or woman struggling with faith would probably not Be interested in reading a thick and intimidating book, but almost no one would be intimidated by this book.
Jacob Hawk has broken down into chapters why we question our faith and how to keep from giving up on our faith. It is a great reference to have to read when struggles come your way to help you remember how God loves you and is there to help you through those struggles,.
It is in easy to understand and read format so that anyone no matter how new or old in their faith in God can read and be helped by this book. It has questions at the end of each chapter to help you review and work through what the chapter has shown you.
This is a great addition to your library and a good book to read again and again. It is also a book to share with those you see and know that are facing struggles to help them move their mountains too.
I would recommend this book to others. You can purchase this book from:
